Get to Know Me

I originated in Leicestershire and moved to Yorkshire, to train as a Physical Education Teacher. I married and taught P.E. and Art in Secondary and Middle Schools for several years before I changed career dramatically in my forties, by completing a second degree in Environmental Management and working for a large Corporate in Sustainability and Environmental Management which took me to Oxfordshire and ultimately the Cotswolds where I still live.

I retired and began to paint as a professional artist in the early 2000's doing something that I love and have longed to do throughout my adult life.
I use all sorts of media to create my paintings, and generally use natural forms as my inspiration , since nature and the environment have always been central to my life.
I exhibit regularly, show my smaller prints at craft fairs and now host events loosely called paint parties, under the title of 'Chink, Chat and Create.'
All my work is for sale and is usually full of colour and light with the occasional monochrome thrown in. I enjoy line drawing as well as painting , mark making, and using pattern and texture. I really hope you like what you see.
